Games next week at the school. OCT 16th @ WCCS

In the opening match, The HEELS, (who brought a sub for a change), looked to come out an run against the TIGERS. The TIGERS, missing a few stars, simply went to their other stars, as the elder Norman looked to pick up the slack for the absent nephew. David N pounded the ball down low, dropping in 21 points to go along with the lights out shooting of Desmond “the drain” Gaines, who took it easy on the HEELS, only making 6 3-pointers, to lead the TIGERS. The HEELS looked to answer down low as Jarred “I’m not gonna try to dunk this week” Weeks dropped in 16 of his own, as well as a usual 21 from Byron BMac Mcottry kept the HEELS close, but it was not enough as the striped cats held on to win by 8.

In a match up for the coveted 6th place slot, the EAGLES look to take advantage of a Joe less BULLS. The EAGLES looked to spread the scoring out, but quickly found that keeping the ball out of a diving Coach Jones’ hands, and instead giving it to the Mad Man Mungo would pay off. Ealey dropped in 18 to lead the EAGLES, who successfully did not foul away the lead, Some tough shots by Russ “Rusty” Berard kept the BULLS close throughout, but it wasn’t enough in the end. The EAGLES held on to beat the BULLS by 6. The BULLS will undoubtedly be speaking with Sprouse’s agent this week to figure out if he can get away from the NBA preseason to stay with the BULLS for a few more weeks.

In game 3, a new ROAR record was set. (At least, I think so). For the first time I know of, the winning team proved you did not need to make a 3 to win (maybe they just couldn’t). Either way, 2 pointers rained for the BUCKEYES as Glazier, C Mob, and The Lessmeister, all dropped in 10 plus with 2 pointers. The return of the HUSKIES' 9 fingered star Shawn “Lefty” Easter proved to be inspirational, but not enough to win. Reico “pull it from anywhere” Miller did what he could to keep the HUSKIES close scoring 12, but an off night for the grey dogs left them chasing the Mighty BUX, eventually drifting away by 10.

In the matinee match. The BOB's looked to upset the WILD's in the battle of the CATS. The BOBCATS came out a fire, as RC dropped in 3 quick from downtown (24 on the night), hands in his face and all. (I thought without Tyler that we would go down low). Also stepping up for the BOBCATS was Keith "lights out" Lewis, taking the often sluggish looking WILDCATS (I have to get my cheapshot in somewhere) to the hole, throwing up everything. Lewis finished with 21 on the night. The BOBCATS looked to play the upset role taking a lead into half time for the 3rd game in row (a team record), but the WILDCATS never quit. An 8-0 run midway in the 2nd half sparked by a couple 3's from the Wiley bro's helped the CATS in navy blue take over. The WILDCATS were led by J Rich and Marvin "Lockdown" Locke, scoring 16 and 14 respectively, who eventually pulled away, and won by 14.

Remember...Games next week are @ WCCS. (.2 miles behind the BP on India Hook at Celanese, going towards the Lake.)
