TIGERS top HEELS in Championship Thriller
In what was one of the best Championship games in recent history, the HEELS gave the TIGERS all they could handle, and then some, before suffering a tough 2 point loss. The HEELS came out on fire, with B-Mc leading the way (19 on the night), dropping in the 3's early and often. The TIGERS, with their scoring leader absent, turned to the veteran as David Norman stepped up big, on both sides of the ball, to keep it close. Down at the half, The TIGERS showed why they were the preseason fav's to win it all. W.W. refused to let the ball out of his hands too long, as his team high 16 led a slow and steady comeback. The HEELS proved they were no joke pushing the game to it's final limits. Coack K faught all game long with the lead going back and forth. A late game surge and a missed HEELS basket put the ball in the TIGERS hands with only seconds remaining with the game tied. The HEELS, as they always do, had plans to use their fouls, fouling W.W. when he got the ball, but the TIGERS had other plans. Andy "The German Nightmare" unexpectadly got the ball at the top of the key, curling around a screen to the opposite elbow, and jumped so high, that not even the tallest HEEL could touch him. NOTHING BUT NET. BAM! It was one of the prettiest buckets ever. The HEELS had one last chance off the in bounds, but a bobbled in pass by the coach forced a pass to B-Mc for the tie, but it was no good. TIGERS WIN! Congrats to both teams on an awesome game, and to the TIGERS on their win. The TNT MVP went to David Norman for his work on both sides of the ball.
